People should be encouraged to use public transport more

Public transport is very important, especially in big cities where living fast has become a lifestyle for most of us. It has many advantages, but also the disadvantages which can’t just be ignored.
Many argue that using public transport is the best solution because of its simplicity and availability to everyone. A bus ticket is not expensive, most people can aford it and sometimes it is more economic to go by bus than by car. Also, children, elderly people and the handicapped have some benefits: they don’t have to pay for a ticket and they always have a reserved seat on the bus.
On the other side of the argument, using public transport has some bad sides. Waiting for the bus for more then 20 minutes just as crowded buses are situations you can’t avoid. If you get stuck in a traffic jam while in a rush, take the car, it is obviously a better solution.
On balance, it seems that public transport should be used more. However, it needs some recovery. If the state invests more, public tranport will function better, so everything will be organised better. Without doubt, it will encourage people to use public transport more.
